What Khan Academy is

Khan Academy is a non-profit offering a vast library of free lessons and practice across maths, science, humanities and more, with mastery-based progress tracking. It is one of the most significant educational resources ever built, it is free, and no comparison should pretend otherwise.

Best for: Almost anyone. If you need to fill a specific gap, revisit a topic, or work through maths systematically at no cost, Khan Academy is very hard to beat and you should use it.

Where Khan Academy is better than us

If one of these is what matters most to your family, choose them. We would rather you had the right thing than ours.

  • Breadth and depth of library, particularly in maths
  • Track record and trust, built over more than a decade
  • Being available to every family regardless of income

Where Skoolio is different

Choose Khan Academy if

  • •Your child does not learn well from watching, however good the video is
  • •You want UK curriculum alignment rather than US framing
  • •You want insight into how your child learns, not only what they have completed

Khan Academy is free. Skoolio is £29.99–£99.99 per month. If budget is the constraint, use Khan Academy — it is excellent and we would rather say so.
