Skoolio vs Twinkl

Twinkl is a resource library. Skoolio is a learning system. Which you need depends entirely on how much of the teaching you want to do yourself.

What Twinkl is

Twinkl is an enormous library of teacher-created resources — worksheets, planning materials, activities and printables — used heavily by UK schools and home educators. It has a very large catalogue built around the UK curriculum, and it is often the first thing a new home educator is recommended.

Best for: Parents and teachers who want raw materials and are happy to do the planning, sequencing and teaching themselves. If you enjoy building your own curriculum, Twinkl is a deep well.

Twinkl has advertised subscriptions from around £8.49 per month depending on tier. Skoolio is £29.99–£99.99 per month by number of children. They are priced differently because they are different kinds of product — a library versus a teaching system.
